[Ministry]
|
At Christ Anglican Church we are committed to providing everyone the opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To that end we provide ample opportunity for learning and service. It is our prayer and expectation that as the church grows the opportunities for study and ministry will grow with it. Please feel free to call on us should you like further information about any of the following ministries.
Altar
Guild. It may very be that the Altar Guild ministry is the most unheralded
ministry within the church, but one of the most important as well. The ladies
who are called to this ministry assist all of us to worship in the beauty and
holiness of the Lord.
Acolyte
Service. This is s very special ministry to serve the Lord at His altar
assisting the Vicar in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. All adult males
and young men are encouraged to seek God's call to this ministry.
Adult
Sunday School. The adult Sunday School meets each Sunday at 8:45 a.m. before
Mass. Fr. Mark leads those who attend into a deeper understanding of God's word
and a greater knowledge of ways in which to grow in Christ.Youth Sunday School.
We are truly convinced that we must do all that we can to lead our children
closer to Christ by giving them the best education possible. This growing part
of our Christian education provides the children with the opportunity learn
more and more about God through the use of age appropriate teaching tools.
St.
Brigid's Women's Guild. The women of the church gather together each month
to plan fellowship events, fund-raising opportunities, and to implement a number
of outreach ministries. All of the women of the parish are members of the guild
and are welcome to participate.
St.
Martin's Men's Club. The men of the church meet once per month in the parish
house for a time of fellowship, feasting, and learning. While we do indeed have
fun and eat well, we also are committed to growing in our relationship with
Christ through the study of God's word and learning how to worship and praise
him in prayer and worship.
